Why Shamanism?

Shamanism is a spiritual practice dating back more than 40,000 years. It is found in cultures around the world, and it developed independently on every continent. Shamanism is not a religion, but rather an ever-growing and changing set of spiritual practices that coexist across cultures and religions, helping to bring humankind together through shared experiences and principles. In North America, shamanic knowledge and skills are long lost to most people due to oppression of indigenous cultures and suppression by organized religion. Yet, in the 21st century, shamanism is increasingly sought out for its ability to bring peace, contentment, vibrant good health, and an inclusive, sustainable worldview.
