Registered in 2023 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable and educational organization, Colorado Institute of Shamanic Studies was founded by a group of highly-experienced and long-practicing shamans to meet the diverse shamanic needs in their respective Colorado communities.
The Institute is committed to providing rigorous shamanic training, high-quality yet affordable services, and general outreach and support to Colorado’s shamanic community.

Our Mission

Expanding awareness and knowledge of shamanism as a beneficial spiritual practice.

Offering instruction in shamanism for all levels of lay students and professional practitioners.

Maintaining a shamanic healing clinic where non-members may experience shamanic healing and advanced students may conduct supervised shamanic healing sessions.

Conducting public ceremony.

Organizing community service offerings such as hospital and prison visitations and end-of- life services to the shamanic community, a severely under-served segment of the population.

Conducting and publishing research on the application of shamanism in modern society.

Ordaining and licensing qualified individuals, both graduates of Colorado Institute of Shamanic Studies and those of have studied with other qualified teachers and schools.​​
